Website Terms of Use

Last updated: 21/10/2026

About These Terms

These terms set out the rules for using amtaa.co.uk. By using the website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

These terms cover your use of the website only. They do not cover buying our services. The documents that cover our services are listed below.

Who We Are

AMTAA is the trading name of Ashley Tippin, a sole trader. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Ashley Tippin trading as AMTAA. “You” means anyone who uses the website.

Correspondence address: The Orangery, Joseph King House, 3A Boyces Avenue, Bristol, BS8 4AA, United Kingdom. This is a mail handling address, not an office, and we do not meet clients there.

How These Terms Fit with Our Other Documents

Different documents apply depending on what you do with us:

  • Accessibility Health Check: if you buy a Health Check, our Health Check Terms of Sale (PDF) apply to that purchase. You will be shown them before you pay.
  • Accessibility Assessment and Quarterly Accessibility Programme: these are covered by the written agreement we both sign before any work starts.
  • Your personal information: our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use it.
  • Cookies: our Cookie Policy explains which cookies the website sets and why.

If anything in these terms conflicts with the Terms of Sale or a signed agreement, that document takes priority for the purchase or service it covers.

Our Content Is General Information

The guidance, articles, statistics and examples on this website are general information about digital accessibility. They are not legal advice. They are not an audit or assessment of your website or digital service.

Reading our content does not mean your website meets WCAG 2.2, the Equality Act 2010, the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations or any other standard or law. Every website is different. If you need advice about your own website, contact us or another qualified adviser.

We work to keep our content accurate and up to date, but standards and laws change. We do not promise that everything on the website is complete, accurate or current at all times. Where we quote research or figures from other organisations, we credit the original source and it remains responsible for its accuracy.

Using the Website

You are welcome to use the website to find out about our services, read our content and contact us. You can use any assistive technology, browser setting, extension or accessibility tool you need to do this.

You must not:

  • try to gain unauthorised access to the website, the server it runs on, or any system connected to it
  • introduce viruses, malware or any other harmful code
  • attack the website, for example through a denial-of-service attack
  • copy or extract content from the website in bulk, for example by scraping, including to train artificial intelligence systems
  • use the website for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful
  • use our contact form to send spam, abuse or unsolicited advertising

Some of these actions may be criminal offences under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. If we become aware of them, we may block your access and report the matter to the relevant authorities.

Our Intellectual Property

We own, or have permission to use, the content on this website. This includes the text, design, graphics, our name and logo, and the descriptions of our methodology and reports. Logos of third-party tools and organisations belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.

You may view the website, print pages and share links for your own information or within your organisation. You must not copy, republish, sell or present our content as your own without our written permission. If you quote a short extract, please credit AMTAA and link to the page it came from.

You must not use the AMTAA name or logo in a way that suggests we work with you, endorse you or have audited your website, unless we have agreed this in writing.

Our website links to other websites, such as Stripe, which processes our payments, and organisations whose research we cite. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or how they handle your information. A link does not mean we endorse the website or its owner.

When you pay for a Health Check, Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy apply to how it processes your payment.

Website Availability and Security

The website is free to use. We do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors. We may change, suspend or remove any part of it at any time, for example for maintenance or updates.

We take reasonable steps to keep the website secure, but we cannot guarantee that it is free from viruses or other harmful code. Please use up-to-date security software when browsing any website.

Our Responsibility to You

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

If you use the website as a consumer: we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen, or if we both knew it might happen when you started using the website. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. The website is provided for information, so we are not responsible for any loss of business, profit or opportunity.

If you use the website for a business or organisation: because the website is free and provided for general information, we will not be responsible for any loss or damage arising from using it or relying on its content. This applies whether the claim is for breach of contract, negligence or anything else. In particular, we will not be responsible for loss of profits, sales, revenue or business, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation, or any indirect or consequential loss. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all implied conditions, warranties and other terms that might otherwise apply to the website or its content.

This section covers the website only. Our responsibility for any paid service is set out in the Terms of Sale or the signed agreement for that service.

Accessibility of This Website

We aim for this website to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. If any part of the website, including these terms, is difficult for you to use or read, email support@amtaa.co.uk and we will provide the information in another format.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the law or to our services. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The version shown on the website when you use it is the one that applies.

Other Important Terms

If a court decides that any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest of the terms will still apply.

If we do not enforce our rights straight away, we can still enforce them later.

Only you and we have rights under these terms. Nobody else can enforce them.

Law and Courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can also bring proceedings in Scotland. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland.

If you are a business or organisation, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
